Longest Month Ever

Well...December is finally over. After our last post we had just finished trying all of the oral anti-biotics for ear infections and had started a three day series of shots. Well on Friday (second day of shots) Isaiah came home from Miss Olive's and started throwing up. Welcome stomach flu. So Saturday morning we went to the doctor's to finish our shots. By Saturday night he was dehydrated because he couldn't keep anything down and he ended up being admited to Children's Mercy and having IV fluids. While in the hospital with Isaiah Sara started throwing up. She missed an entire week of school. Then we got a call from the doctor on Tuesday saying they had scheduled Isaiah for tubes on Friday. So Isaiah had tubes put in on Friday morning. We are still adjusting our schedule being that he has been awake in the night for over a month. But at least we know he is not in pain anymore. (The doctor said she pulled stuff that looked like a gummybear stuck in a microwave from his ears) Hopefully now we can maybe go back to a normal, healthy life. God has been with us through all of it and we greatly appreciate your prayers!!

Playing With Daddy

Isaiah has been such a trooper. We have been fighting a double ear infection for three weeks now. He has two days left of a three day series of shots to try and kill the infection. Our break has been spent trying to keep him comfortable and attempting to sleep every now and then. We hope you enjoy this little video of Bubby playing with Mike. Happy New Year!

Aunt Cheryl's Present

Thank you Aunt Cheryl!! We miss you!

Toys

Isaiah got lots of cool toys for Christmas! His favorite is the empty John Deere popcorn tin on the right. A close second is the music toy and the John Deere tractor.

Christmas Tree!

Our first Christmas Tree in our first house! A nine foot white pine decorated our front living room. Isaiah didn't even try to tear it down!

Hake/Grein Christmas

We visited the Hake family Christmas on December 14. We got to see Aunt Kim and Cousin Quinton from CA! Isaiah met Santa for the first time and Grandpa Tim held him while everyone was opening presents. Isaiah is in a onesie because he was running a 101.7 temperture which we found out the next morning, at the Columbus ER, was because he was fighting a double ear infection.
